Traps

Traps are fitted under a basin and help protect the pipework in a property - ensuring unwanted substances do not travel back through the sanitation system. Designed with a deep bend in the path of the pipe to retain some water after a fixture like a basin or bath has been used, traps create an air-tight seal that prevents sewer gas from travelling from the drain pipes back into the building. This bend also helps catch any larger items, such as rings or other pieces of jewellery, that have accidentally slipped down the plug hole, ensuring they can be reclaimed by simply unclipping the fittings of the trap. Traps are available in a variety of shapes, sizes and styles in order to get the best match for any system.
