The staff in the Caerphilly branch are very helpful and knowledgeable about all the products they sell and answer any queries promptly. The kitchens are high quality and competitively priced as are all the other products they supply. They will deliver outside the local area if you have customers further away. I highly recommend this branch of Howdens.

Beware of Non-Refundable Items in "Packs"

Real shame about their sales and customer service experience. We listened to the Sales Person when he said that we could bring stuff back / obtain a refund, didn't pay too much attention to what he was adding onto the order on the basis we could just take it back if unused / wrong. We then paid £12k in good faith. After the install was finished, we tried to take a number of things (boxed, unopened and not required - so why was it on my order in the first place?) back only to be told that some of the items were part of a "pack" and therefore non-refundable (contrary to the assertion of the Sales person at the point of sale). I wasn't overly concerned as I thought that a call to Customer Services would resolve matters - but nope, they didn't even have the courtesy to ring me back with the outcome, I had to ring them, only to be told that I wasn't eligible for a refund. A real shame. Lovely kitchen. Customer experience ruined by lies and a total lack of aftercare & resolution. Caerphilly branch.

Don't buy a Howden's if you want your kitchen to withstand water

Second time I've had a Howdens kitchen, second time that is has failed. My builder talked me into getting it from Howden's saying it had improved. Kitchen has only been used for 9 months but the dishwasher door has blown and the sink door. Howden's have told me their products aren't designed to withstand water and it's not covered under warranty! I was told I shouldn't open the dishwasher door when it's on. It's a kitchen - surely water is what you completely expect! Their products aren't sealed properly - check for yourselves and don't buy Howdens!
