The staff are very helpful and professional when they saw me sitting outside, they opened up five minutes early when I gave my order I had forgotten an item which would’ve been a disaster? Had I not had it The warehouse staff were very helpful and speedy to get me on my way all in all can’t recommend them enough.

Warping back panels, Sealing Problems, Bad quality of ready-assembled cabinets

REFERENCE: Howdens Southgate 173/0432215 - I purchased a Howdens kitchen units (chleford ivory) from Howdens Southgate. 1. It has been appalling to find such bad assembly quality from all the white ready-assembled cabinets Howdens supplied to me, in addition to their sealing problems of chipboards used. 1)All the back panels of ready-assembled white cabinets have been poorly fixed with something like staples only. 2) The condition of the back panels are very poor so that they are all warped to some degree - as evidenced by the irregular gaps between the back panels and the shelves in all the wall cabinets, the gaps between the back panels and the side panels in some cabinets. In such cases, not only moisture can easily come into the cabinets, but also little bugs. 3) All the assembled drawer baseboards are not sealed (CIV5127, CIV5146), nor are some of the panels of built-under oven housing base cabinet (CIV 560G). This is completely not suitable for kitchen cabinets. 4) It is obvious when sealing the edges, the manufacture used an edging tape/edging banding smaller by 1mm than the thickness of the chipboards. In addition, the sealing machine didn't seem to produce a temperature high enough to seal the edges properly and seamlessly. Such bad finish will make the chipboards prone to moisture in humid conditions. 5) The corner cabinet is poorly designed and assembled - instead of using a whole sturdy board as its base, the manufacturer used two chip boards connected together, leaving small gaps in between. 6) A damaged board was fixed as the top board of Tall Mwave Twr White cabinet (CIV561T) 7) For the same type of base units some boards go flush with the adjacent boards while others don't. It showed bad quality control of cabinet assembling. 2. All the ivory MFC boards (Decor Ends) have some degree of sealing problems too. The edging tape/banding are smaller by 1mm than the thickness of the MFC boards (18mm). In addition, the sealing machine didn't seal the edges properly and seamlessly. Such sealing finish is not acceptable for units to be used in kitchen and will be prone to moisture. 3. At least 5 decor ends of wall units already showed signs of tiny/small gaps at the edges (DRK3239) 4. MFC boards and MDF boards were packed directly into the cardboards without a moist resistant film/membrane. I have submitted all photo evidences of faulty goods to Howdens Southgate on and before January 18 2024. The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract I have with Howdens Southgate that goods be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. As Howdens Southgate is in breach of contract and I've owned the product between 31 days and 6 months (all products delivered in December 2024), I am within my statutory rights to ask for it to be refunded.
